Brian Rooney, originally from Kiltyclogher, has been living in London for the past 40 years and is well known there on the traditional music circuit. However in 1999 he astounded the wider traditional community with the release of his debut album ‘The Godfather'. London's best kept secret was unleashed to astonishing critical acclaim and Brian was finally recognised as one of the Master fiddlers of his generation. The strength of his tone, the swing of his playing, and the beauty of his variations established him without any argument at the very forefront of Irish instrumental music. He has since recorded a second album entitled ‘From Leitrim to London'.

John Carty cut his musical teeth growing up in London and Brian was one of his many musical mentors. Since moving to Boyle, Co Roscommon in 1991 John has become one of Ireland's most prolific musicians and is widely respected worldwide. He has released several highly acclaimed recordings and was awarded the TG4 Gradam Ceol Musician of the Year in 2003. His name has become a byword in traditional music for style and discernment, his imaginative approach to traditional music melody inspiring many musicians and making him in great demand as a soloist and musical partner notably with Matt Molloy.

Brian and John will be joined by well known Galway based musician Brian McGrath
